Although we have a saying “age doesn’t matter” when it comes to love, it’s still inevitable that there are still people who make a fuss out of it, just like what Beauty Gonzalez and her husband Norman Crisologo had experienced.
In the newest campaign of a popular toothpaste brand, they willingly detailed how their romantic affair began, the challenges they faced, the memorable moments they shared together, and their realizations throughout their journey as a couple.
With 15-year age gap between them, they recounted being called nasty names and their romance making her mother a bit concerned at first and being questioned by the people around them. But they just shrugged those off and proved that what they have is something that is genuine and worth fighting for.
Despite everything they’ve been through in their three-year relationship, they became doting parents to an adorable baby girl named Olivia Ines, who was born in February 2016. They then tied the knot on May 6, 2017 through a garden ceremony in Tagaytay City.
Norman confessed that he was totally smitten by her ravishing allure on a magazine cover. He then immediately called all her friends in the industry to get her number. It can be recalled that in one of her Instagram posts, Beauty’s best friend Ellen Adarna revealed that it was actually she who served as their cupid for she was the one who introduced them to one another.
Aside from their huge age gap, they also had differences, which they imparted in an article published on ABS-CBN Lifestyle, that they’re able to address and turn into something that could bind them stronger as they continue to learn from one another each day.
And to show how much she loves her “Bambi”, the Kadenang Ginto star posted a candid photo of them together on IG and melted her followers’ hearts with what she wrote in the caption:
“’Will you love me for the rest of my life?’ he asked. No, I will love you for the rest of mine. Life is too short to care about the wrong things, to live the life that wasn’t meant to be yours, to hide and be scared is a life lived unwell, unfair and unhappy. Stand up and shout out for your love. Be who you want to be, always be #FreeToLove. From the first day we met and he held my hand, I knew I was never gonna let go.”
Don’t be afraid to love, just like how Beauty and Norman did.
