The It's Showtime family spoke to Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla through video call Friday, October 25.
When the hosts visited Team Vhong-Mariel in their dressing room, they were greeted with standees and a laptop. It was connected to a video call with Mariel who is currently in Delaware, USA.
"’Di ba ganon 'pag nandon ka sa ibang bansa? ‘Di ba kailangan naka-jacket?" Mariel said when the hosts commented that she looked like an eskimo.
She shared that she felt tense because their team has not completed their piece yet because of changes in their plans.
According to her, they originally thought of balancing on wheels, doing a K-Pop concert and going back to the 80s. However, all three have been done by the first three teams.
With this, she warned Vice Ganda that they might be doing what he was planning to do on Saturday, October 26. "Good luck dahil baka ‘yung gagawin mo bukas, ‘yun ang gawin namin ngayon," she said.
Instead of calling it "nakawan," she preferred referring to it as "meeting of the minds."
She then revealed that she has the biggest contribution for the team and Vhong is very lucky for it.
"Pinaka-malaki ‘yung contribution ko. Manganganak ako mamaya, abangan n’yo," she joked.
When the hosts looked for Vhong, she said "Nasaan na nga ba?" while looking really clueless, so she said that appearing through the call was the contribution she was referring to.
The Unkabogable Star then joked that maybe Vhong backed out from the competition.
"Natuloy yata ‘yung sinabi ni Vhong kay Direk Bobet last week, ‘yung malapit na siya mag-back out," he said.
"Hindi. Lalaban kami. Maganda ‘yung gagawin namin, sobra," Mariel answered.
She also added that pregnant women are lucky and the last time she and Vhong teamed up, they became champion.
"Happy Anniversary, Showtime!" she ended.
