The singing competition that launched in January 2016, Tawag ng Tanghalan sa It’s Showtime has paved way for the rise of ordinary people who once just dreamt of singing and sharing their talents on national television.
After its season 3 grand finals last September 28, It's Showtime is now giving celebrities the chance to sing on the TNT stage.
Vice Ganda, on Monday (October 7) claimed he is happy to see TNT Celebrity Champions contender Jay-R Siaboc again.
"Masaya ako na nagkita kami ulit. Magkabarkada kasi kami nito" the Unkabogable Star expressed.
After singing, Jay-R claimed he still felt nervous. Nevertheless, Vice said his voice remains as beautiful as before. He thanked It’s Showtime for giving him a chance to sing and visit Manila again.
"Salamat kasi binigyan nila ako ng chance na maka-perform dito at makapunta ulit ng Maynila, so thank you," he said.
Jay-R now has two kids - one boy and one girl.
The comedy superstar claimed that he is happy for him and he wishes that he can always perform because he is a great singer.
"Ang saya ko for you. Sana mapanood ka pa namin lagi kasi ang galing galing nito (Jay-R)," he said.
He even asked the ABS-CBN Management to help his friend Jay-R have projects.
"Sa ABS Management, beke nemen. Magaling po 'to," he said while pointing at Jay-R.
Jay-R then said being a good singer sounded nice since it came from the It’s Showtime host.
Amy Perez claimed his talent was missed, which Jay-R acknowledged and said he also missed singing for the people.
Since this is Jay-R's first time performing after a long time, he felt nervous. With this, Vice wished for him to regain his confidence.
"I'm sure kinakabahan ka kasi bago sa'yo ulit 'to kaya ang wish ko ay mabalik sa'yo ‘yung confidence mo dati, ‘yung paniniwala mo sa sarili mo na mahusay ka," Vice said.
Vice and Tyang Amy claimed that they believe in Jay-R and his talent.
He gave a sample of his hit song in 2007 called "Hiling."
He was the runner-up next to the grand star dreamer Yeng Constantino in Pinoy Dream Academy in 2006.
