Paul Maawa and Bokyo Reyes had a heated argument on It's Showtime's Mr. Q&A grand finals Saturday, November 23.
The two contenders faced each other in a debate during the "’Di Ba ‘Tol" part of the segment.
They were tasked to say their piece on the question "Sino ang dapat hingan ng tinapay?" with Paul being in favor of the "nanay" and Bokyo being on the "tatay's" side.
The first to defend an answer is Paul who said that mothers are the ones who always have a bread ready for their kids because without saying anything, they already know what their children are feeling.
Bokyo's answer centered on his thought that men are the only ones who sell bread, so fathers should be asked for one.
Wala," he answered.
As a counterargument, Paul stated that Bokyo considers men and women unequal with his answer.
Bokyo disagreed with Paul and said that he did not belittle women. He also said that there wouldn't be mothers without fathers.
Because of the excitement that the debate gave the audience, Vice Ganda gave them another 15 second each to defend their answers.
According to Paul, mothers are the ones who usually prepare snacks for their children and be there after a long day.
Bokyo answered by sharing his personal experience with his children.
Ikaw, tatay ka na ba?" he said.
As per the request of the madlang people, another 30 seconds was given to them.
Paul said that a lot of children are more attached to their mothers than their fathers.
Bokyo then offered his home to Paul and said that he will give him bread personally.
"Ang tatay dapat ang hinihingan ng pambili ng pandesal o nagbibigay ng pandesal kaya ikaw, umuwi ka sa akin, bigyan kita pandesal," he said.
