Indeed, a father’s love has no measure.
Whether it’s going to the moon and back, or sinking to the deepest depths and rise again, a father indeed will do anything for his child. And in Magpasikat 2018, Team Jugs and Teddy showed the great lengths a father would go just to make his son happy. That is, giving him a TV.
In their touching, heartwarming presentation, Teddy plays the hardworking dad, who makes a living as a tricycle driver. He sees his son portrayed by Karlo Ezekiel Torres (who portrayed Jolo, Erich Gonzales' son in The Blood Sisters) watching a TV show by peeking at a neighbor’s TV set. When they see each other, the kid makes a fervent wish to his father by asking if they could have their own TV. While he knows he doesn’t have any means to buy one, Teddy’s character says he will do everything he can to get him a TV.

And he does, although it was not quite the ordinary one.
With his “big-screen, ultra-reality high definition” TV already in place, Teddy’s character asks his son what he wants to watch, and he would tell his father several choices—from FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano to a game show. But, all that “aired” was his father mimicking all the programs and characters with friends, such as Jugs playing Cardo and a strange fat tarsier, on a makeshift, handcrafted TV, with them also producing the sound effects to boot, which was what he can only afford.
When the son realizes it was all a make-believe show and not a real TV he asked, he still appreciated his dad’s efforts in making him happy in whatever way he could think of. What he now knows is that his dad loves him very much more than he’ll ever know and this makes the son love his father even more.
Indeed a moving showcase from Team Jugs and Teddy that brought the audience to tears.
