Catriona said she was so happy to have been given the chance to be part of the It’s Showtime family.
“Sobrang masaya to be able to spend my birthday week kasama ang It’s Showtime family at kasama ang madlang people. It’s going to be such a fun week and today was amazing. It was so much fun,” Catriona told Entertainment.ABS-CBN.com in an exclusive interview.
In this video, Catriona also said it was so much fun to be part of a new segment, Mini Miss U, which heralds a bunch of little beauty queens.
“We have a new segment called Mini Miss U, and our candidates are the sweetest and brightest, newest stars and I can’t wait for you all to meet them. And I just had so much fun so far so I’m really happy to be here.”
For Catriona, hosting on It’s Showtime means so much. “I do value the power that speaking to an audience has. I feel if you can influence so much good, you can make people happy.”
In preparing for the show, Catriona said she had to familiarize herself more with the national language.
While she admits that her confidence level in Tagalog isn’t that high yet, “This is an amazing opportunity to really train myself and really connect to people so I’m really embracing it.”
She said she hopes to bring a bit of happiness in to the lives of the madlang people for the rest of the week.
