Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis, "rumampa" sa Tawag ng Tanghalan stage on It's Showtime Wednesday, October 9.
TNT Celebrity Champions contender Myrtle Sarrosa shared about her and her fellow students' experiences as a working student in the University of the Philippines and admired those who go the extra mile to reach their dreams.
"Bilib din ako kasi ‘yung mga classmates ko sa UP, aside from me, marami kaming mga working students tapos umaattend kami ng class. Never silang umaabsent kahit puyat na kami, mukha na kaming mga zombie na walang tulog. Kahit anong pagod basta gusto n’yong makapagtapos at gusto nilang i-fund ‘yung sarili nilang pangarap, they would do anything," she said.
Vice said he was also a working student before.
"Nag-telecommunicator ako dati sa stock exchange," he shared. He admitted that he used to play around in his previous job that's why he resigned.
He then did a sample with Anne.
"Sa MWSS po ito. Kumukuha ng tubig sa'min kayo sa MWSS ‘di ba, Ma'am?" Vice said while acting like he istalking on the phone.
Anne answered by saying: "Actually, there's a leak here."
Vice ended the call right away saying he will call her later.
After working there, he joined pageants as a part-time because he realized his beauty would be a waste if he will not earn from it.
"’Yung pageant, raket raket lang kasi sabi ko sayang naman ‘yung beauty ko kung 'di ko pagkakakitaan kaya sumali ako ng pageant," he said.
As a sample, he convinced Anne and Myrtle to pretend like they're candidates in a beauty pageant and walk the runway.
The first candidate was Anne, Myrtle was the second and Vice was last, but definitely not the least.
His walk involved looking back and forth because, according to him, he was staring at the judges.
"Siyempre tatakutin mo ‘yung judge. Kailangan 'pag tinitigan mo ‘yung judge, parang sinasabi mo sa kanya 'hawak ko ‘yung pamilya mo, ipanalo mo 'ko," he said.
It was in joining pageants that he realized he was just wasting money because he spent so much on makeup and registration fees, but never won.
