Robi Domingo shares stories behind throwback photos in Showtime Reax

After his recent stint in “Madlang Pi-Poll” segment of It’s Showtime alongside his “Call Me MayBi” and iWant ASAP co-host Maymay Entrata, sought-after host Robi Domingo went on to amuse us with his appearance in Showtime All-Access on Monday, November 8.

He enthusiastically bantered with and responded to every question of host Ate Girl Jackie Gonzaga, from the status of his love life, daily routine, hosting tips, up to his throwback pictures in the Showtime Reax portion.

“Love life ko ngayon, sobrang okay, sobrang saya. Despite the situation, kahit may pandemic, going strong kami ng girlfriend kong si Maiqui Pineda. And she has been my rock and foundation throughout the whole situation,” the Pinoy Big Brother alumnus-turned-host divulged. He added how truthful it is that love comes unexpectedly in a person’s life and surprises us the best way possible, since that was what happened to him.

Robi admitted that he was “medyo malandi” during his singlehood, yet he didn’t have any ounce of it towards Maiqui nor any intention of being in a relationship with her on the very first time they met at an ABS-CBN party. But their friendship eventually bloomed into a beautiful romance without them expecting it.

Their conversation then veered to his daily routine, which, according to him, changes based on his work schedule. He used to wake up early during his Umagang Kay Ganda gig, but now, he usually rises up between 10 to 11am because of PBB, Kumu’s Game Ka Ba?, ASAP Natin ‘To, and iWant ASAP.

The two also talked about the possibility of Jackie becoming a PBB housemate, with Robi giving her the moniker “Darling Dancer ng Antipolo,” and revealing that she’s among the Top 3 choices of netizens to become a celebrity housemate for the on-going Kumunity Season 10, next to Francine Diaz and Ivana Alawi.

When asked for tips on how to be a great host like him, he imparted the pieces of advice passed on to him by seasoned hosts Boy Abunda and Luis Manzano, and emphasized the value of listening, which Jackie knew as well.

They then moved on to the last segment, which was “Showtime Reax,” wherein Robi was shown old photos of him taken from the internet and had to share the stories behind each. The images flashed were his college graduation picture, separate selfies with his mom and dad, photoshoot with Maymay, and a screenshot of him and Vice Ganda sitting beside one another as hurados for It’s Showtime.
