After completing her stint as a “Choosegado” in It’s Showtime’s Reina Ng Tahanan, actress and beauty queen Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz dropped by Showtime All-Access to share precious moments being her own family’s “Reinanay” in this edition of “Set Buwiset” with “Ate Girl” Jackie Gonzaga.

While Lara remains active in showbiz with occasional roles in dramas with her last major appearance in The Killer Bride in 2019, and a leading role as JC Alcantara’s mom Evelyn in the actor’s life story “TV” on Maalaala Mo Kaya earlier this year.

But as she told Ate Girl Jackie, Lara said that if she is not onscreen, she is a full-time mom, spending most of her time taking care of her three sons Noah, 9. Tobias, 3, and his youngest, Moses, who was born last year. Lara said she oversees their homeschooling, nurturing, and their everyday needs.

She said she wakes up normally at 5am to prepare for her motherly chores, as Moses would wake up at around 6am daily. Lara said she also regularly breastfeeds her youngest.

Lara also shared her most memorable moments as a “Choosegado,” spending time with fellow judges and what she learned and felt hearing the stories of the Reinanays competing in Reina ng Tahanan.

As for her “me time,” Lara said she would lock herself up in the comfort room for a few minutes before getting out and oversee her kids with husband and fellow actor Marco Alcaraz.

Lara, who won the Miss International crown in 2005, also advised other moms to remain selfless and keep a close relationship with God to lovingly fulfill their duties for their spouses and kids.

She then shared her most treasured photos on her Instagram feed, including one with It’s Showtime hosts Vice Ganda and Vhong Navarro, together with Andrew E, and another snap, a recent one showing her kids playing outdoors after over two years confined at home due to the pandemic.
