The kulitan and tawanan in It’s Showtime were indeed extended in the latest episode of Showtime All-Access through the “It’s Joketime” segment, wherein host Jugs Jugueta gauge the comedic chops of his fellow mainstays, the staff, and the guests by asking them “Use In A Sentence” jokes.
Jugs started off by using “KPop” in a sentence, uttering “Jugs, ang galing mo naman. ‘KPop’ the good work!” Then he went on to roam around and asked guests Brenda Mage and Ms. Q & A queens Anne and Lars Pacheco, co-host Teddy Corpuz, writer Jay Louisse Seguro, studio audio systems operator Melchor Marcia, and associate producer Trina Bitara for their respective entries that we found impressively funny.
Funny men Nikko Natividad, Alex Calleja, and Eric Nicolas attempted to redeem themselves after losing in their Madlang Pi-poll stint by delivering their jokes. As Jugs promised to give them cash prize if they’re going to make him laugh, they enthusiastically defended Eric’s joke regarding Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s favorite brand of soap.
He may not be able to save himself in “It’s Joketime”, Alex Calleja had the opportunity to redeem himself in the “It’s A Prank” segment, wherein Jugs asked him to do three challenges that he had to accomplish which involved a Reina Ng Tahanan contestant.
Alex spotted ReiNanay Samantha Gellaga, who was staying at the waiting area all by herself. He was able to lure her and convince her to give him a scratch on the back, to record a video with him as he asked his wife’s permission for him to attend the Reina Ng Tahanan rehearsals, and to borrow Php500 from her – making his prank a success!
