Bela impressive sense of humor Showtime

She may be known for her dramatic prowess in the series and films that she starred in and her promising brilliance as a scriptwriter and filmmaker, but Bela Padilla is further admired for her bubbly personality that we get to witness everytime she’s on It’s Showtime as a guest co-host.

And in this edition of Showtime Toplist, let’s revisit seven of her funniest moments with the hosts that displayed not just her palpable chemistry with them but her impressive sense of humor as well.

Let’s start with that instance when she and her best friend Kim Chiu failed in an episode of “Bata Bata Pik.” Kim initially declared that she would join Bela with her “FUNishment,” but she eventually retracted and simply cheered her on as she did it all by herself. Told to do jumping jacks before and after she spoke, Bela humored everyone by opting not to talk and doing sign language instead when asked by the hosts – until Vhong Navarrio dared her to speak unless she still loved her ex-boyfriend.

But prior to this, it can be recalled that Bela actually used to evade being the alay, to the point that she even got teary-eyed when the hosts rallied for her to be “FUNished.” In the end, it was still Lassy who received the “FUNishment” after he got the highest number of votes from the hosts and the Showtime kid Jaze.

Vice Ganda totally felt “puksang-puksa” or ‘offended’ after Bela implied that she wasn’t willing to trade her beautiful face with the former during one of their banters in the “Expecially for You” segment. It all started when the Unkabogable Star expressed her wish for them to share the same level of beauty and quipped that she’s willing to exchange her posh bag and accessories, which Bela liked, as long as it would come true.

In that same episode, the hosts poked fun not only with Bela but also with Kim as the two best friends imparted the story behind their identical friendship tattoos. Bela shared that it was done by a nibling of the oldest Filipino tribal tattoo artist, Apo Whang-od, which Vice, Jhong Hilario, and Vhong Navarro apparently found quite ridiculous since anyone could pretend that they’re related to the centenarian artist.

Mesmerized by the splendor of an “Expecially For You” searchee named Getty, Bela uttered that she looked like an “angel.” This made her co-hosts Vice, Vhong, and Jhong jokingly assume that Bela was pertaining to one of them as the “devil”, which the actress immediately owned up to. While Bela dismissed that she was referring to either Vice or Vhong, she later on said that it was actually Jhong who she was talking to.

Being one of the funniest clips that we’ve ever seen on “It’s Showtime,” you’d probably encountered the snippet wherein Bela got confused about the difference between “tiktik” and “manananggal.” Based on her understanding, “manananggal” is the supernatural creature, while “tiktik” is the one who announces its arrival to the community, much to the amusement of the everyone.

While interviewing Pokwang and her daughter Mae in an episode of “Expecially For You,” the Unkabogable Star caught Bela fixing her mini skirt as she introduced one of the searchees. Vice went on to point out that she was wearing a “bakya.”

And lastly, Bela wasn’t able to help herself from getting dramatic in an episode of “Showing Bulilit,” wherein she and her partner Darren Espanto didn’t only make it to the jackpot round, but also won the grand prize. She jokingly described the moment as “nakakaiyak” since it was her first time to finally succeed in the aforementioned game.
