Reel-to-real couple Kim Chiu and Xian Lim have made our hearts aflutter with their tandem in Love Thy Woman.
Their avid supporters certainly know that they first worked together in the Filipino adaptation of the Korean drama My Girl in 2008, which was top-billed by Kim and Gerald Anderson. Xian did a cameo by posing as a wedding photographer in its finale episode. A year after, he then became their ‘third wheel’ in Your Song Presents: My Only Hope.
The KimXi tandem, or what the well-loved pair is fondly called, was eventually born in 2011 when they starred in the romantic comedy drama My Binondo Girl. Since then, this inseparable couple skyrocketed into becoming one of the country’s most popular and most in-demand loveteams.
In the past nine years of being an on-screen pair, the two have headlined four teleseryes and five movies, and have been each other’s gorgeous arm candy in the annual Star Magic Ball (which became ABS-CBN Ball in 2018) for eight solid years. They last appeared together before Love Thy Woman on The Story of Us in 2016.
Despite having to go on different paths as they pursued individual endeavors, the two have remained solid as they supported one another in their respective projects.
In those years, Kim and Xian had left us wondering and guessing about the real score between them, until Kim officially (and verbally) confirmed it in one of her guestings in Tonight With Boy Abunda in 2018. Meanwhile, more than a month prior to that interview, Xian disclosed via an Instagram post that their first date happened in an out-of-town trip in 2012.
Although both of them have been evasive every time they’re asked about their relationship as they consistently refused to divulge more details and even how long they’ve been together, their lovely snaps and clips together on Instagram have been arguably enough for their ardent shippers to know that they are happily and wholeheartedly in love with one another.
