Our noontimes indeed turned a lot brighter and merrier as Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray graced our favorite noontime program It’s Showtime as its recurring guest co-host early this year. Her bewitching splendor, endearing personality, and unbelievable wit never failed to captivate us and amuse us in a way that we really didn’t expect.
Being a beauty queen, not to mention being crowned as the Miss Universe, and a public personality, she is seemingly required to always doll up each time she goes out – may it be meeting with VIPs, attending various events, or media appearances – for she’s expected to look flawlessly beautiful all the time.
But have you already seen Catriona barefaced? Well, just in case not yet, you may check out this gallery to see some of her snaps we spotted on her Instagram page in which she wears little to no makeup.
Just like some women out there, the 26-year-old philanthropist-beauty queen loves to glam herself up by applying makeup. But being bullied because of her physical appearance in her younger years, she has learned to embrace who she really is and has become an advocate of self-love as she grew up.
“I love playing with makeup and being glam, but I've also grown to love the skin I wake up in acne scars, moles and all. I too have days where I don’t feel confident, or my insecurities are louder...but that's okay. Loving yourself as you are is a journey, but it's a journey worth taking,” she confessed in the caption of one of her posts.
She then posted another photo of her barefaced a few weeks after that she captioned again with a truly empowering statement.
“Because my feed has been looking quite "made up" lately with all my postings from my events this month, here's a no filter, sleepy, messy-haired selfie with pores, eyebags and all, just to remind you that the skin you wake up in might not be "flawless" but it houses a beautiful soul and that's you!” she wrote.
