Make love, not (network) war!
ABS-CBN and GMA have further solidified their friendship with the Kapamilya noontime program “It’s Showtime” making its debut on the GMA main channel last Saturday, April 6.
What better way to celebrate this yet another historic event on Philippine TV than to mount a spectacular episode for the Kapamilya and Kapuso audiences, who now identify themselves as part of the solid “madlang people” community.
But apart from what we saw on screen, we also can’t get over the display of love and friendship among the “It’s Showtime” team and guests from both the Kapamilya and Kapuso camps backstage and off-cam.
The hallways turned into a happy, busy place as everyone geared up for the #ShowtimeSanibPwersa episode and several Kapuso stars arrived as they were tapped to participate in the “Karaokids” segment. Not only did Nadine Samonte, Mark Bautista, Christian Bautista, Chantal Videla, Jake Vargas, Mikee Quintos, and Jillian Ward enjoy the game, they also had fun rubbing elbows with the “It’s Showtime” hosts and ABS-CBN executives as well.
ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer for Broadcasr Cory Vidanes was seen entering the studio with “sang’gres” Glaiza De Castro, Sanya Lopez, and Gabbi Garcia. One of the OG ‘sang’gres,’ Karylle, posed with the new-gen “Encantadia” stars.
Also present on that special and historic day were ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, and TV Production Head Laurenti Dyogi.
Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee was likewise part of television history as she graced the show’s “EXpecially For You” segment with her mom, Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez, who helped her find her perfect match. “It’s Showtime’s” very own Kim Chiu did not miss the chance to have a photo with Michelle. The latter also dropped by Vice Ganda’s dressing room before going on air.
