Our noontimes have always been enjoyable, thanks to the wonderful and tight bond established by the gregarious hosts of It’s Showtime. Being together for so many years now, they have grown absolutely comfortable towards one another and have treated each other as family on-and-off-cam.
As they look after their fellow cast members, we all know they also have a real family to take good care of once they step out of work, especially the mommies. With the Mother’s Day celebration this year fast-approaching, let’s join the It’s Showtime madlang people in greeting and commending three of their co-hosts who are proud moms through this feature.
Being the eldest member of the ensemble, it is Amy Perez-Castillo who stands as the youthful “tita” of her younger co-hosts, thus her nickname “Tyang Amy.” But in real life, she’s such a doting and cool Mama to her three boys – Adi, he’s firstborn who’s already now in his twenties and his child from her previous marriage, and her two sons with present husband Carlo named Sean Kyle (11) and Isaiah (7).
On the other hand, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla is a happy and proud mommy to her two adorable daughters with veteran actor Robin Padilla, to whom she’s been married for almost ten years now. After two heart-breaking miscarriages in 2015, she was finally able to give birth to their firstborn (and her “mini me”!) Maria Isabella on November 14, 2016. Three years after, their second daughter arrived on November 16, 2019.
Recently joining the club is Anne Curtis, who just gave birth to her first child with husband Erwan Heussaff last March 2 named Dahlia Amelie.
While work usually kept them away from spending more time with their kids, except Anne who has been on leave since late last December, these It’s Showtime mommies are making the most of their time at home this quarantine by being hands-on to the needs of and bonding with their babies.
