Not only is the Miss Q & A crown at stake, but also a number of special awards up for grabs for the finalists in the first-of-its-kind pageant on its coronation night Saturday, June 30, on It’s Showtime aired live from Resorts World Manila.
These awards embody the different facets of the contestants, from their fashion sense to congeniality. These include such plums as “Beks in Costume,” “Beshie ng Bayan," “Beks in Chukchak,” “Beks in Long Gown” and “Ganda Ka? Award.”
Definitely the pageant is more than just winning the Miss Q & A title! Here are the winners of the Miss Q & A Special Awards!
With a whisk broom-filled ensemble topped with a stack of synthetic clay pots as headpiece that is truly Filipino and clutching a doll in one arm, Elsa Droga Mendoza swept the Beks in Costume accolade.
The Best in Chuk-Chak Award went to Odessa Jones for blurting out the most havey and explosive self introduction.
Meanwhile, the Miss Q & A contestants united to hail Gianna Castiglione Francisco as the Beshie ng Bayan, or the equivalent of "Best in Congeniality", for being the ultimate chikadora and most friendly among their pool.
Elegantly sashaying in a shimmering glittery moss green mermaid long gown during the Evening Gown Showdown, Benzen Galope de Verges took home the Beks in Long Gown plaque.
With her splendid "pak na pak" impression to the camera ala-true beauty queen, Lars Pacheco snagged the "Ganda Ka?" accolade, which is the equivalent of Miss Photogenic. Proving that is the huge framed stunning portrait of her presented to her along with the sash and plaque.
Semifinalist Marigona Dragusha must be very thankful to her supporters for avidly voting her via text and online, as she emerged as the Madlang People's Choice that paved her way to be one of the Top 10 grand finalists.
