Who else can make an Unkabogable Star shine brighter, soar higher yet keep his feet firmly planted on the ground?
It’s none other than his only inspiration, the Queen of Vice Ganda’s life—his mother Nanay Rosario Viceral.
Why? It’s the genuine love Vice felt, when as a young Jose Marie Viceral, he faced life’s ordeals with only her by his side. And when the going got tough, the dedicated and loving mother that she is toiled and labored just to keep him in school, appreciate life’s simple joys, and make him dream big.
And when she migrated to the US to work as a caregiver, Nanay Rosario only thought of providing a better life for the family without even thinking the minutest thought about herself.
But little did she know that while she did succeed in providing for the family all by her lonesome, her beloved Tutoy would emerge as the immensely successful Vice Ganda people extol. And, even if she has all the reasons in the world to stop working, Nanay Rosario continues making a living as a caregiver, more as a person with a mission to serve, and not just waste time in a spacious mansion.
This further made Vice treasure his mom even more—a person, who always finds a way to make both ends meet for the family despite life’s difficulties, now maintaining a respectful, humble life as the same mother who guided him through the precarious streets of Sta. Cruz, Manila until reaching the pinnacle.
Indeed, someone so precious Vice can’t live without.
GGV: Nanay Rosario reads touching letter for Vice Ganda
In a Magandang Buhay appearance, Vice never held back what he felt in telling Nanay Rosario on air:
