From a simple young man who used to only dream of helping his family and breaking into the local music scene with his amazing vocal prowess, Erik Santos is now one of the most well-loved and bankable singers in the country at present, making him one of the reputable hurados of It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan. 

And all throughout his journey, there is one special person in his life who he considers as the “wind beneath my wings” because of the unconditional love and all-out support that she has bestowed him ever since giving birth to him up 39 years ago, and now that he’s hailed as the Prince of Pop and the King of Teleserye Theme Songs. She is none other than her beloved mother, Nanay Lits.

We may not know much about her nor the rest of their family as they seem to prefer living lowkey and leaving the spotlight to Erik, but the ASAP Natin ‘To mainstay has been giving us a peek of their tight bond through some of his posts on social media. He never fails to greet her on her birthday and during Mother’s Day every year by posting photos of them together and attaching a heartwarming caption.

And as Nanay Lits celebrated her 65th birthday last January 12, the seasoned singer made sure to make it extra special by posting an Instagram reel comprised of their throwback and present pictures together, as well as birthday video greetings from some of his showbiz friends and colleagues, and captioned it “simple birthday tribute to our hero.” With the well wishes and heartfelt messages she got, we can say that Nanay Lits is not only affectionate and kind to her kids, but to other people as well who are dear to her children. 

Furthermore, Erik also takes his mom to out-of-town and out-of-the-country trips along with his Tatay Ron and his younger sister Hadiyah, as well as to some of the events that he attends.
