Rufa Mae Funniest Hirits It’s Showtime

Rufa Mae Quinto has been famous for her campy and distinctive comedic performances, especially for her portrayal of the iconic Pinay superheroine “Booba,” which is also the title of her most popular and blockbuster film.

And after not seeing her for a long time in any Kapamilya show, we now get to catch her often as she “regulars” herself on “It’s Showtime as one of the judges of its returning segment, “Kalokalike.” Let’s look back on some of Rufa Mae’s funniest moments on the noontime program in this Kapamilya Update feature that truly brought us good vibes.

Prior to her hurado stint, she amused everybody with a song performance for the opening number of one of its episodes. It was during her interview with the hosts when she declared that she “approved” herself to be a “regular” on “It’s Showtime,” to which the madlang audience apparently agreed. While other guests greet everyone by only yelling, “What’s up, madlang people,” she injected a little wisdom into it by shouting, “What’s up must come down, madlang people!”

As “Kalokalike Face 4” was launched early this September, Rufa Mae served as one of the hurados, along with Kapuso actress Bianca Umali and “It’s Showtime”’s dynamic duo Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz. Since it was the premiere episode, Rufa Mae seemingly forgot that she was supposed to only give her “Go Go Gold” comment on the performance of the impersonator of Chloe San Jose, the content creator girlfriend of Pinoy two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, much to the amusement of everyone.

In another episode, Vice Ganda jokingly exposed that Rufa Mae had not left the ABS-CBN premises ever since her appearance on the first day of “Kalokalike Face 4” since she really wanted to become completely regular. As the Unkabogable Star asked if the management could ask for a discount for her talent fee, the sexy comedienne seemed to be hesitant and said that it’s okay for her just to be “semi-regular.”

Vice Ganda’s hilarious story about Rufa Mae was not done yet, as she even imparted that the latter also expressed her interest in taking part in the brainstorming of the It’s Showtime staff. Besides, everyone was amused as well when Vice revealed that she transferred to another dressing room to hide from her since she’s too loquacious.

Probably tired of seeing contestants who do not have any resemblance to their chosen personalities, Rufa Mae tickled everyone when she took out her phone and began to read the definition of “lookalike” that she found on the internet.

She also got us entertained when she appreciated her own comment about the performance of the Billy Crawford impersonator and implied that he must show his face to the camera “fast” since his resemblance to him fades within a few seconds and went on to remark that “past is past.”

And ultimately, Vice related that after hiding from her in the past days, Rufa Mae finally found her and conveyed her ‘complaints’ about the “Kalokalike” segment. First was the large statue that symbolizes it, which right hand, according to Rufa Mae, must move the way she does every time she utters her signature expressions, “Go, go, go!” and “Todo na ‘to!”

Aside from that, the Unkabogable Star jestingly imparted that the actress-comedienne was insisting that the title of the segment is “Kalookalike” and even asked why Aubrey Miles was her co-judge for that certain episode. Rufa Mae tried to defend herself, especially against Vice’s made up story about her disliking Aubrey, only to confess that she indeed left the dressing room she shared with Aubrey and transferred to another.
