It’s Showtime family happy, excited to remain solid through the years bringing hope and joy to madlang people

Overcoming challenges due to a pandemic, apart from other ordeals they faced, the It’s Showtime family said they are so happy facing them together and emerging victorious as one.

More than 12 years working together on the Kapamilya noontime show, these gregarious, fun-filled, entertaining hosts have brought smiles to the Madlang People whatever happens.

Amid their “LabindalaWOAH” celebrations, the It’s Showtime family sat down for their extended kulitan after Magpasikat 2021 in this online exclusive on Showtime All-Access.

Vhong Navarro recounted how the It’s Showtime family surmounted the heaviest burdens in the past 12 years, and expressed elation that even with the exit of some hosts in the past, two exceptional hosts were added to their fold in the last couple of years: Kim Chiu and Ogie Alcasid.

Kim, who has been a top Kapamilya star since being declared the Big Winner of the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 1 in 2006, said she has never been experienced laughing so hard three hours straight each day as part of the It’s Showtime family. She said she felt thankful finding her fellow hosts as her second family that imparts happiness and hope for each other and for the Madlang People.

She also admitted experiencing a difficult time adjusting to her role as a noontime show host at the start, but she said everything has turned out smoothly. Kim said “every day is a victory” in making each other happy on set, which they also share to the audience.

Karylle said, “Pwede na tumawa nang severe.” Having hurdled the worst trials as a family, especially during the pandemic, they can now laugh so hard like before and celebrate. This, she said, resonates through the Madlang People, who enjoy their humorous antics onscreen.

Jugs Jugueta, Jackie Gonzaga, and Ion Perez expressed their gratitude of their being together as a family through thick and thin, with Ate Girl Jackie saying it has been a blessing and Jugs adding that the ten original members, which includes hosts and staff, from the start remain bring joy, laughter, and hope to the Madlang People.

Teddy Corpuz, on the other hand, also said he is thankful that through the years, they always felt valued and needed, even with the arrival of new hosts.

Ogie added that with his joining the show’s mainstays it brought him “validation” that even with icons such as him would advance in age, they still are treasured and needed to give joy and laughter to the Madlang People. He also claimed to always share all the fun things they do daily with wife Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, who notices how happy he has been ever since.

Vhong and Vice Ganda also expressed their pleasure and satisfaction of finally having a permanent show director, John Moll, who has done a great job in putting things in order and crafting the fun and entertaining program It’s Showtime was meant to be. Vice thanked the other past directors of the show who filled in the slot when they were “lost and confused” – John Prats, Boyet Baldemor, and Arnel Natividad.

Finally, Vice said the success of It’s Showtime is not the work of just one person, but of a team of hardworking, talented people through the years. He said he feels happy and excited that It’s Showtime will continue to bring joy and laughter to the Madlang People, even if things are not the same as before.

“Nararamdaman ko pa rin ang pagpapatuloy. Hindi ko nakikita at nararamdaman ang paghinto at pagtapos nito. Nakikita kong magpapatuloy pa at ito ang pinakamasarap na nararamdaman ng puso ko. ‘Yung kinabukasan kasama kayo (It’s Showtime family) at ang Madlang People,” Vice said.
