Divine Tetay has been a stand-up comedian for years now who’s more popular for his impersonation of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino. From simply performing in comedy bars, he was able to showcase his comedic chops through his TV guestings, with his guest co-host gig on “It’s Showtime” being the latest.

And through the clips that we collated in this Kapamilya Update feature, let’s look back on some of his funniest moments on the noontime program that truly left the madlang people laughing out loud.

Who was not amused by his reaction when a contestant of the “Throwbox” segment failed to mention the name of the late former President Corazon Aquino, the mother of Kris, upon being quizzed about the first-ever woman president of the Philippines? When asked by the hosts for his reaction, Tetay jokingly brooded and conveyed how shocked and upset he was since he was confident that the player would accurately get it.

In the “Showing Bulilit” segment the following day, Divine Tetay’s "annoyance" towards the contestant apparently resumed after Karylle brought up the astonishing moment from yesterday by asking the same question again to him.

As a “Tawag ng Tanghalan” contestant humbly disclosed that he’s a black belter in taekwondo, Tetay jokingly bragged about being a “rainbow belter,” which seemed to be an allusion to him being part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Tetay then went on to display his acting chops as he amused us with his version of the iconic scene in the classic 1982 flick “Himala” when an impersonator of Superstar Nora Aunor participated in the “Kalokalike” segment. A boisterous laughtrip moment then erupted in another episode of the said segment as Tetay and his fellow comedian and guest co-host Negi pulled a spontaneous comedy sketch that involved Bela Padilla and the Kaila Estrada look-a-like.

And lastly, Tetay further proved how talented he was as he showed that it’s not only Kris Aquino who he can impersonate. In an episode of TNT, he imitated the way Zsa Zsa Padilla speaks right in front of the Divine Diva herself while she was taking on her hurado duties.
