Vice Ganda successfully pulled a prank on two of his close friends—It’s Showtime co-host Ryan Bang and designer Paul Cabral, pretending to sound choppy that made them confused with what the Unkabogable Star was trying to tell them.
In this fun vlog, Vice called Ryan first and pretended that there was something wrong with his connection and signal. Vice asked multiple times where Ryan was and the Korean host patiently answered Vice several times that he was in his office making kimchi. But Vice pushed to make him believe that he couldn't hear him, claiming the signal was so bad. Ryan believed Vice and asked someone if there was something wrong with his phone. When Vice continued to ask Ryan his whereabouts, the latter jokingly told Vice that maybe his Wi-Fi connection had a problem. Eventually, Vice told Ryan that he could hear him.
But later on, Vice told Ryan that his video froze on the virtual call and asked him to move. Ryan then followed whatever Vice was telling him to do. Vice would then intentionally mumble his words so that Ryan could not understand him. He would however clearly mention “Tita Cory,” referring to ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes and about going back to work for It’s Showtime on Friday and Saturday. With Vice’s words seemingly choppy, Ryan assumed it was about a swab test they would undergo before going live on the show. Vice again acted out telling Ryan that it wasn’t what he was saying.
Vice then continued to talk to Ryan mumbling his words, mentioning something about co-host Ion Perez, and Ryan couldn’t understand what Vice was saying. Vice then changed the topic sounding choppy again, saying that Tita Cory called and asked him to tell Ryan something important. But it didn’t take a long before Ryan realized that Vice was intentionally mumbling his words. Ryan said he got scared when Vice already mentioned Tita Cory.
Vice then called his next victim, designer friend Paul Cabral, who was on the road in his car at that time. Just like what he did with Ryan, Vice pretended that he couldn’t hear Paul and that he was freezing in the video call. Vice then continued telling Paul about Karla Estrada calling Tita Cory, and the rest was unclear again as Vice mumbled his words as if he sounded choppy. Paul even asked the driver to stop the car first so he could hear what Vice was telling him. But Vice still mumbled his words. Eventually, Paul realized that Vice was just pranking him.
