Kapamilya Toplist: Jhong Hilario’s hilarious moments on It’s Showtime

From being the most favorite and resident hurado of It’s Showtime on its early years, Jhong Hilario turned out to become one of its most gregarious and multi-talented hosts who never failed to entertain us with his impressive sense of humor and unmistakable talents.

And in this episode of Kapamilya Toplist, let’s take a look back on nine of his hilarious moments during the “new normal” episodes of the well-loved noontime program that truly brought laughter and good vibes to the madlang people during these trying times.

As he also serves as a councilor of the first district of Makati City alongside his occasional acting stints on television and movies, there are instances that he arrived on the set late, making him the laughingstock of his co-hosts.

Vice Ganda jestingly complained about his tardiness to ABS-CBN executive Charo Santos-Concio, so Jhong tried to make up for it by delivering a poignant birthday greeting for her and expressing his enthusiasm to work on an another Maalaala Mo Kaya episode.

As avid It’s Showtime viewers have known, a day wouldn’t definitely pass by without the two friends engaging in a funny banter. Just like when the Unkabogable Star was sharing a fond memory of him back in his schoolboy days and Jhong agreed to everything that he said as if he experienced it as well firsthand.

He also gets to often banter with his fellow Streetboys member Vhong Navarro, who is his perennial partner in amazing the madlang people with their awesome dance routines and in some droll skits as well – such as when Vice asked them to act as lovers in a Boys Love (BL) series.

As what we’ve mentioned, Jhong also gets to exhibit his acting prowess that we only usually see in his teleserye portrayals, aside from showing off his hosting, dancing, and comedic skills. He may have done great in demonstrating his kontrabida and dramatic chops but those still made us laugh with how his co-hosts reacted.

However, what made us more amazed of the 44-year-old artist-politician was with how he gamely took on the FUNishments when it was his turn to be a “Tumpak Tracer” in the “Mas Testing” segment.

Despite his busy schedule and having to juggle different jobs, it’s truly awesome how Jhong seems to not lose energy when it comes to engaging and having fun with his It’s Showtime family.

Catch him on It’s Showtime, weekdays and Saturdays on Kapamilya ChannelKapamilya Online Live and A2Z.
