Their intelligent and moving quotes from the finals will surely be etched on everyone’s minds for a long time.
Here are some of those touching, memorable answers from the ten finalists of Miss Q & A, answering questions from the judges.
She was asked to defend Hurado Pokwang from people who discriminates her and calls her gay even though it's obvious that she is a woman.
"We would leave in this world but our memories together will last in different generations." These are Khei Perlawan's words to emphasize the importance of the memories we are making in our lives, in response to Hurado JM De Guzman's question about being with her araw-araw, gabi-gabi.
She proudly accepts defeat when Hurado Brandon Vera, a champion mixed martial arts fighter, asked if he dared her to a fight. But along with this, Rianne Azares left us a compelling message. "I will stand tall and be proud of myself. You challenging me to fight with you is likewise the same as everyday I'm experiencing people challenging my individuality and my sexuality. God always ordered us to love, respect and accept one another. So depite those challenges, all we have to do is stand proud, be ourselves, be happy. And if others don't like it, let them be. Because at the end of the day, happiness is a choice. And we don't need to please everybody."
Meanwhile, to a tricky question from Hurado fashion designer Paul Cabral, Odessa Jones spoke true and ended her speech in professing what she believes in.
When asked by Hurado Binibining Pilipinas Universe Catriona Gray about having an alien in the Miss Universe competition, Matrica Mae “Matmat” Centino reminded us about the real essence of the prestigious pageant. "Miss Universe is not only about the beauty of the physical aspect of the person. It is possessing the impregnable, solid satisfaction of self-confidence."
To a just a simple question from Hurado Miss Grand International 2016 First Runner up Nicole Cordoves about holding her earring in the MRT, Marigona Dona Dragucia gave a deep and heartfelt answer. "It's not just about the physical hurt that you put on people but the emotional hurt... If I got to hurt you, I would feel sorry. Not only being sorry about you, but being sorry about myself as well. Because no one has the right to pick a harm to one another... What we need in the benevolence of the universe is to respect, love and care. That has to be uplifted in the spirit of everybody."
"God will give you the one that you deserve... I always believe that in the end of the day, whatever characteristics your loved ones have, whatever they are, whoever they are, as long as their heart is pure that is very much acceptable." These are Lars Pacheco's words when asked by Hurado It’s Showtime host Karylle if she can have Spongebob as a husband.
Hurado Rated K host Korina Sanchez asked why there isn't such a category as Rated K when there is Rated G, Rated SPG and Rated G in the MTRCB ratings. This is what Elsa Droga Mendoza said: "Ang Rated K po ay palabas.
To Hurado King of Talk Boy Abunda’s question if we can do fasting before his famous talk show segment “Fast Talk,” Princess Khim Santillan gave an answer that has indeed a point.
Lastly, to Hurado It’s Showtime hosts Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz's question if an itchy worm should be hit by a steady rock, Juliana Parizcova Segovia gave a metaphor in which people can relate from.
These ten finalists of Miss Q & A indeed showed the Madlang People their true selves, their loving heart, and incredible intelligence throughout the pageant. And we only thank them for letting us know who they are and what they can achieve as proud individuals.
