Jindric “Jin” Macapagal first appeared on 2016’s reality singing competition titled Pinoy Boyband Superstar. With his amazing dance moves and his irresistible look, he got 95% votes of the girls and moved forward to audition in front of the judges. It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda, who hosted on the said contest, was one among the four judges who got easily captivated by Jin’s stage personality.
Gaining a “yes” from all of the judges, Jin successfully became one of the show’s official contestants. Eventually, he became part of the contest’s top 25 but unfortunately didn’t go to the next level.
During his interview on Pinoy Boyband Superstar, Jin shared that his passions are in singing, dancing and playing football.

Despite his loss, Jin realized that it’s too early for him to give up. In his interview on It’s Showtime’s Online Universe, he said joining Pinoy Boyband Superstar was just his first try to show his talent in front of a huge crowd, not to mention being on national television. Knowing that he has a lot more to offer, he took another shot at making a career in the showbiz industry.
On It’s Showtime’s stage, Jin displayed his improved self-confidence and talent. He upstaged his rivals on the first day of his Bidaman journey and the judges hailed him as Bidaman of the Week.

Advancing to the finals, Jin continued to show us his great potential in acting. In his reenactment clip of a scene from Sino Ang Maysala? Mea Culpa, he gripped everyone with how he portrayed the character of Arman played by Ketchup Eusebio.

Alongside Nathan Garcia, Jin became one of the two finalists in their batch to belong in the competition’s top 12.
