As It’s Showtime celebrates its 10 successful and fruitful years of making people happy, the creators made a few tweaks on the program by returning some of their segments that we used to love and probably missed seeing on television. And one of those is Tawag ng Tanghalan.
Well, it’s only been a week since the Season 3 of TNT ended with Elaine Duran being hailed as the Grand Winner, but they immediately relaunched it last October 7 for a special celebrity edition.
The first batch were already introduced and had already performed on its pilot week, with Thor Dulay, Justin Alva, Roxanne Barcelo, Jimi Marquez, Ethel Booba, and Ana Ramsey emerging as the daily winners.
And for the second week of TNT Celebrity Champions, another batch was introduced in a media conference last Saturday, October 12, which is composed of 24 talented celebrities from different generations and backgrounds in the local entertainment scene.
The roster includes singer Hannah Villame, The Voice of the Philippines Season 1 alumnus and recording artist RJ Dela Fuente, Hashtag member Wilbert Ross, Goin’ Bulilit alumna and World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) 2013 medalist Cha-Cha Cañete, Miss Q & A 2018 First Runner-up Matrica “Matmat” Centino, rocker-chef Rolando “Chef Lau” Laudico, singer-songwriter Paolo Santos, actor-host-singer DJ Durano, Goin’ Bulilit alumna and Kadenang Ginto actress Brenna Garcia, former TNT contestant and Pinoy Big Brother Otso alumna Lie Reposposa, That’s Entertainment ensemble member Marilyn Villamayor, singer-theater actor Gian Magdangal, concert producer Joed Serrano, PGT Season 1 finalist and radio DJ Markki Stroem, Shamrock band vocalist Marc Tupaz, Sineskwela cast member-turned-back-up vocalist and vocal coach Brennan “Agatom” Espartinez, The Voice Kids Season 1 grand winner Lyca Gairanod, stand-up comedian and I Can See Your Voice sing-vestigator Wacky Kiray, former beauty queen-turned-actress Maricel Morales, online sensation Zendee “Random Girl” Tenerefe, actor and That’s Entertainment ensemble member Jojo Abellana, sexy actress Ynez Veneracion, and The Singing Bee Songbee (back-up vocalist)-turned-radio DJ Apple Chiu.
