Vhong Navarro returns to It’s Showtime!

Vhong Navarro has finally returned to the noontime program, It’s Showtime during its live telecast today, March 8.

The Showtime hosts wore “Welcome Back Vhong!” T-shirts while a video montage dedicated to Vhong Navarro played.

The madlang people gave Vhong a warm and lively welcome as he entered the stage crying. His emotional co-hosts gave him a group hug.

Namiss ko po kayong lahat madlang people,” Vhong said as his voice cracked, tearful again.

He also said that it’s the support he receives that’s been keeping him strong, “Nababasa ko po yung mga tweets ninyo, mga messages sa Instagram, gustong gusto ko pong magpasalamat sa inyo ng personal dahil po patuloy kayong sumusuporta sa akin.

The host also shared how difficult it is to remain a comedian despite his personal problems.

Further, he thanked the people who personally helped and supported him such as the ABS-CBN big bosses, his legal team, some members of the NBI, his manager Chito Rono, his doctors from St. Luke’s Medical Center – Global and to his friends who surprised him by coming over at “Showtime” today. He also thanked his friends from different TV networks, as well as the non-showbiz ones who visited him.

He also thanked the whole “Showtime” family including the staff and crew. He also thanked his family, as well as his girlfriend Tanya and her family.

Most of all, he thanked God for giving him another chance at life, “Salamat sa ating Panginoon dahil binigyan niyo ko ng pangalawang buhay at pagkakataon na makabawi ako sa mga taong nadisappoint. Lord, thank You. I love You.”

He also granted the madlang people’s request for him to do a sample. He danced the Billy-Vhong dance craze, “Take it to the Head.”

“We are so happy, we are so blessed kasi parang ano eh, parang butas ang Showtime pag wala ka,” said an emotional Billy Crawford.

A tearful Anne Curtis also said that she missed Vhong a lot, in which her Showtime love team hugged her.

Ryan Bang helped lighten things up by expressing how much he misses his co-host too.

Also, Billy announced that starting on Monday, Vhong Navarro will now host the noontime show regularly.

Finally, Vhong Navarro concluded “It’s Showtime”.

Meanwhile, Netizens also expressed their delight on Vhong’s return by trending “#WelcomeBackVhongNavarro” on Twitter Philippines’ number 1 spot.

The “Showtime” host temporarily left the noontime show after he encountered a mauling incident in a condominium unit in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig last January 22.
