Celebrities who surprised us all on It’s Showtime’s “KapareWho” segment

In our all-time favorite noontime show It’s Showtime, the matchmaking segment called “KapareWho,” entertained us with rollicking “kilig” pairs of Whomahanap (searcher) and KalaWhok (searchee).

For the past couple of months, since the amusing game has started, the matchmaking process even surprised us; especially the celebrities who we never expect to join the game.

Jeric Raval

By the way he stands, everyone was eager to see his face as he revealed himself at the end of the game. Action star Jeric Raval who bears the nickname ‘Boy Tigasin’, swept everyone away with his macho moves from the moment he stepped on stage. He was chosen by Whomahanap ‘Lovely Voice’.

Wowie De Guzman

Everyone gasped and shrieked in so much ‘kilig’ as Wowie de Guzman, member of the former all-boys dance group called as Universal Motion Dancers or the UMD, revealed his face in the March 19 episode of KapareWho.

Wowie, who is now a widower and a single dad, was among the three masked men who took part in a series of challenges to help two searchers determine their date companion. The actor bears the nickname ‘SinuZumba Kita’ as a KalaWhok and was chosen by the Whomahanap ‘PoseCat Doll’.

Keempee De Leon

Hiding by the name ‘Lion Beside You’, Keempee de Leon who portrays Benjie in Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit, made everyone ecstatic as he revealed his face by the end of the game. Throughout the segment, his wit is undeniable. Saying that he plans on going to church with the Whomahanap who will choose him, he completely seized the heart of ‘Pinay Explorer’.

Bassilyo

Disguised as ‘Mister Yo’, Bassilyo showed a mysterious yet witty personality in the March 7 episode of KapareWho. The rapper/actor appears in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as one of the members of the Vendetta. ‘Baker Babe’ found his personality interesting, so he was chosen by the said Whomahanap to be her match.

Jojo Abellana

Because of his sweet and loving personality which he showed through his gentlemanly behavior during the matchmaking game, renowned actor-singer Jojo Abellana who hid himself by the name ‘Sweetie Papi’ was picked by the Whomahanap who appeared in the show as “Dyosa.”

Upon his reveal, the madlang people can’t help but scream with so much ‘kilig’, seeing the sibling of seasoned actor Rey PJ Abellana. He also appeared in the 2015 movie “Everyday I Love You,” starring Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil and Gerald Anderson.

Dunhill Banzon

From the very beginning, freelance actor Dunhill Banzon, who bears the nickname ‘Goon and Roses’ as KalaWhok, has captured the heart of ‘Happy Go Lady’. Before his reveal, he already made a good impression by the way he boldly expressed his manly personality which is one of his greatest assets as an actor. Dunhill recently appeared in the morning teleserye Playhouse as Francis, the wicked business partner of Peter (Ivan Padilla).

Indeed, one should never lose hope in finding someone who can make his/her heart happy. Let us not be afraid to open our hearts to other people because having such brief conversations is always where deep connections begin.
