Less than a year after Juliana Parizcova Segovia was declared as the first-ever winner of the pilot season of Miss Q & A, It's Showtime already named the newest queen during the grand finals held at the Araneta Coliseum on February 23, Saturday.
Among the 10 grand finalists vying for the highly-coveted crown on the grand finale dubbed "The Final Chukchak: Vaklang Twooo!", it was Mitch Montecarlo Suansane who dominated in the end and was hailed as the Miss Q & A Intertalaktic 2019.
He immediately roused everyone with his impressive answer on hurado Karylle's question during the initial round BalaKahJudge, "Kapag sinagot ba ako sa text ng 'K' dapat ba akong matuwa?", which paved his way to the Top 6 alongside Brenda Mage, Czedy Rodriguez, Anne Patricia Lorenzo, Chad Kinis Lustre-Reid, and Ayesha Lopez.
In the second round, which was the Debattle, he was able to beat his rival Brenda Mage with his persuading points that "bird" is more pleasant to see in the morning than Brenda's "flower.”
This helped him advance to the Top 3, in which he was pitted against Chad Kinis Lustre-Reid and lone Hall of Famer Czedy Rodriguez responding to the intriguing final question, "Ano ang isang dahilan na pinakapumipigil upang lubusang matanggap ng lipunan ang inyong kasarian?"
And I thank you!"
This powerful retort earned him the favor of the judges, who gave him the average score of 95.8%, besting 2nd runner-up Chad with 92.1% and Czedy with 92.5% and being hailed as the grand winner.
As the Miss Q & A Intertalaktic 2019 queen, Mitch won the crown crafted by artist Manny Jalasan, the trophy made artist Agi Pagkatipunan, the throne, and the title sash. He also pocketed an all-expense paid trip for two to South Korea, P200,000-worth of pampa-fresh, P200,000-worth of negosyo package, P500,000-worth of retoke package, brand new car and P50,000-worth of body care products from a famous fragrance company, and two million-peso cash prize.
It can be recalled that he was able to reach the grand finals after succeeding as a "resbekie" during the Resbak Week and continuing his winning streak to the semi-finals wherein he was able to consecutively defeat three of his fellow contenders.
