Antoinette Taus and Miles Ocampo star in this week’s episode of the hit legal drama “Ipaglaban Mo” which will present the case of a house help who was murdered by her employers.
Miles plays the role of Sheryl who came to Manila from their province to find work. She lands a job as a house help, but unfortunately she found employers, Vicky (Antoinette) and Veronica (Ara), who were bad-tempered and abusive. Antoinette reveals that she was really tensed about her role at first because she’s not used to hurting people in real life, not even when she’s angry. She says that she uses words, but never violence. The actress even goes on to say that she has never liked taping scenes where she would have to hurt someone and it’s her co-stars who usually tell her to go all out. And Miles agrees, saying that Antoinette was so careful with her in their confrontation scene. But she prefers getting hurt for real for her to be able to come up with the emotion needed for the scene, so she asked Antoinette not to hold back at all.
But despite not being physically abusive, Antoinette discloses that she was able to give life to her character because of her new-found love for acting. She recalls that she was inspired by the actors she met while she was in Los Angeles, California who were very serious about their craft, same with the stars she worked with in this “Ipaglaban Mo” episode who were all great actors. All of them were very serious with their roles that made the atmosphere in the set easy and, no matter how intense their scenes were, they were always able to finish early. It was also a big help that Director Nuel Naval is such a great director who likes to work fast.
Aside from the violent scenes, what part did Miles and Antoinette find most challenging and how were they able to relate to their characters so well? Find out in this “Ipaglaban Mo” special on Kapamilya Chat.
