Summer 2021 is going to be extra sweltering and intense as ABS-CBN is yet to put primetime television on fire through its upcoming teleserye offering – Init Sa Magdamag – starring JM de Guzman, Yam Concepcion, and Gerald Anderson. And around four months since the project was bared to public in November 2020, its teaser and full trailer were finally released this week.

On Thursday, March 18, the network launched the full trailer of the sexy drama series simultaneously across all its platforms, wherein the lead characters and the plot were introduced. Yam will play Rita Tuazon, a hardworking nursing student who takes on odd jobs in order to make both ends meet; Gerald as Christopher “Tupe” Salcedo, an aspiring doctor who struggles to gain the support of his father; and JM as Peterson Alvarez, a budding young politician who’s going to be obsessed with Rita.

In a series of chance meetings, Rita and Tupe, who seemingly used to be rivals in high school, will eventually fall in love. But their romance will be short-lived after Tupe gets involved in the corrupt activities of his government-official father (Joey Marquez), which will take a toll on his relationship with Rita. 

As she moves on from her boyfriend’s apparent disappearance, she’s going to find new love in with aspiring politician Peterson, who regards her as the primary reason of his becoming a changed man. However, things are going to get complicated as Tupe resurfaces after so many years and crosses paths with Rita again, who’s already married to Peterson. 

Aside from the steamy scenes with Yam with her two leading men, the trailer also promises that we’re going to witness totally different facets of Gerald and JM, as well as anticipated intense face-offs between their characters. 

Init Sa Magdamag is slated to premiere this coming April on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z Channel 11, Jeepney TV, and iWant TFC.
