If you dearly miss KC Concepcion, here’s the showbiz royalty welcoming us to her own home she calls as ‘Casa Kristina’. The Mega Daughter cherished every moment of the quarantine period, not to mention spending the days doing ‘tita’ stuff. “Talagang ninamnam ko siya kasi mag-isa lang ako,” she said.
KC is not a stranger to living solo. The public has known her for being a strong independent woman since living alone in Paris to pursue her studies. “Wala talaga akong stay-in. Nakasanayan ko na kasi ‘yung living in Europe, living in America. ‘Yung parang buhay-America na hindi ka sanay na… kasi wala pa naman akong asawa and I don’t have kids yet. To have someone sa bahay, hindi ko nakasanayan ‘yun since I was 18,” expressed KC.
But if she had a clue that the lockdown would extend longer than expected, KC would’ve wanted to have someone around. “Kung sinabi mo sa akin na may pandemic, na may ganitong quarantine, lockdown, siyempre maghahanap sana ako ng kasama kasi ang hirap talaga.” KC admitted that living solo in the time of a pandemic is a sad experience.
Her solo living reminds her so much of her student life abroad, although more exhausting and lonesome. “Ikaw ang mamimili, magluluto, maghuhugas ng pinggan. Tapos by the time na kakain ka minsan wala ka nang gana kasi pagod ka na. Tapos may dogs pa ako. Ikaw magma-mop, magwawalis, lahat.”
Just like anyone else in-charge of the cooking, KC had her frustrating moments of running out of recipe ideas – hence launching her passion project, “Kitchen Collabs.” KC shared, “Ang dami ko nang naluto in three months’ time and wala na akong maisip, so that’s how it started.”
The online show is a series of cook-along sessions with KC and her friends. Among her previous guests was Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala co-star Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo.
