Not only ordinary people are awestruck and thrilled every time they see their idols on screen, on the pages of magazines or posters, or in person, but our favorite celebrities as well.
Just like Angeline Quinto, who despite being one of the most prominent and highly revered singers in the country is still proud to profess how much she loves and looks up to her ultimate idol till now.
Other die-hard supporters of Regine Velasquez-Alcasid envy her because she’s not only a mere avid follower of the veteran singer, they also became super close friends who are willing to defend one another from bashers and controversies.
The story of their friendship is something we really pine to happen in our lives as well. From being a fan who fervently watched her on television, rented video tapes of her movies, collected her records, and put cut-out pictures of her in a collage, the Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs eventually fulfilled her wildest dream of seeing her idol in person after joining the reality singing competition Star for a Night which she hosted in 2002. She might not have won the competition, she got the biggest lifetime award she could ever receive as a fangirl in the latter years when they became close friends and co-performers in some concerts and live events.
As she greeted her on her birthday last April, the 29-year-old Kapamilya singer expressed how grateful she is and how much she admires the Asia’s Songbird.
Recently, Angeline had another fangirling moment with her idol, which can be seen on her seventh video blog. Together with her team, she visited Regine at her house to deliver the Buttered Garlic Shrimp with Tomato Paste she specially cooked for her and asked her to sign her albums that the I Can See Your Voice mainstay has kept for a long time, and took selfies afterwards.
For those hardcore supporters who are gradually losing faith to meet their most favorite celebrities, here’s a message from Angge, taken from one of her IG posts, which might inspire you to keep on dreaming:
Malaki man o maliit ang pangarap mo, wala pong imposible.”
