Throughout his 25-year shimmering career, Bayani Agbayani has become one of the finest and funniest comedians in the local entertainment scene. Making people laugh seems to be his second nature, thus he was tapped to appear in various sitcoms and movies and became a bankable sidekick to the brightest stars in the country since he started in the business.
Now, let’s take him on the front seat as we acknowledge how a great family man he is in real life.
He’s been married to wife Lenlen for more than two decades yet his love and loyalty for her remained constant. To mark their commitment to their sacred union, they tattooed the date of their nuptials in different parts of their body.
Aside from that, he is also a good and loving father to their four admirable daughters, who were named after the most influential 90s Mexican singer-actress Thalia and the famous characters she portrayed – Maria Thalia, Rosalinda Marie, Mary Mar, and Marian Sabrina. The actor is also a Marian devotee so the different versions of “Mary” are affixed on their names while Lenlen is an ultimate fan of Thalia until now.
Despite being a well-known personality, the 49-year-old comedian raised their kids ordinarily. During their family’s guesting on Magandang Buhay, the couple imparted how they nurture them into obedient, upright, and street-smart citizens.
As a matter of fact, they let them commute when they go home from school.
According to them, parents should never forget to reward their children every time they garner accolades. Aside from that, when it comes to their decisions and choices, they also let them decide for themselves as a way of honing them.
They should also refrain from hitting or reprimanding them whenever they commit mistakes or get stubborn, but talk to them patiently instead. Unlike other parents, Bayani and Lenlen never check the phones and social media accounts of their four marias.
Since we’re in a conservative country, talking about sexual issues seems to be a taboo. But the couple already included it in their conversations for them not to be ignorant once they encounter it in the future.
Catch Bayani and the rest of the I Can See Your Voice gang, Saturdays after Maalaala Mo Kaya and Sundays after Rated K.
