Albie Casiño might have had one challenging journey as an artist, but through it all, only one person had been his rock through thick and thin: his Mommy Rina.

Throughout his life, Albie has always found the support he needed in all his journeys from mommy Rina. Whether it is facing adversity at school or the ordeals and intrigues in showbiz, Rina gives Albie the strength to move on, whatever it takes.

Because of this Albie said he will never grow tired or shy in expressing his love for his mom – admittedly, a real “mama’s boy” without any hesitation. In an interview with Magandang Buhay, Albie said he couldn’t find any reason or logic why people should be ashamed of being “showy” to their mothers, given all their genuine sacrifice and love.

“Bakit naman po ako mahihiya na ipakita ko love ko ang mommy ko?” Albie stressed. “Hindi ko po nakikita kung bakit ikakahiya ‘yung bagay na mahal mo ang nanay mo. Para sa akin, ‘di ko maintindihan kung bakit ganoon.”

Mommy Rina was with Albie during that Magandang Buhay interview and she related how she always gives Albie a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and that strong moral backing to help him through his most difficult times.

She said Albie, who served his time as a celebrity housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10, would not hesitate to approach her to ask for help. Mommy Rina said she would readily and wholeheartedly assist him, especially in his younger years.  “I try to advise him and he will listen kasi alam mo ang anak mo ‘pag nasasaktan, sometimes parang gusto mo gawin ang lahat to help them.”

But since Albie is a grown man, Mommy Rina said there are already limitations on how she could extend that support, but the kind of love she has shown throughout his life has always been there.

“I try to give him space. Sige, distance muna ako ngayon. Pero ‘pag siya ang nagsabi sa akin, ‘pag nakita kong nahihirapan (I’m always there)…Pero you have to distance yourself also and let them go through that and process it para matuto din sila.”

Mommy Rina then said that after all the ordeals our children would go through on their own, they would eventually “need their mothers.”

Definitely, Albie always needed his mommy Rina’s care, support, and inspiration every step of the way.
