10 encouraging words from Bro in Huwag Kang Mangamba that will inspire you to strengthen your faith in Him

When encountering failures, setbacks, and uncertain times, God’s word is the only antidote to all our fears. Let these ten lessons from ‘Bro’ in the inspirational series Huwag Kang Mangamba give us much-need inspiration as we continue to stand firm in these trying times. Save this Kapamilya Toplist for when you need an extra lift to overcome trials and obstructions.

In the Kapamilya teleserye Huwag Kang Mangamba, the characters of Mira (Andrea Brillantes) and Joy (Francine Diaz) are given the extraordinary mission to spread God’s word. Albeit difficult, it also comes with the privilege to talk with ‘Bro’ Himself and receive His teachings.

Mira, blind since childhood, was able to see again – all because of Bro’s goodness and her strong faith, for it is written that everything will be possible for those who believe. When a clueless and hopeless Mira asked why people are confronted by challenges, Bro reminded her that we could only find light at the end of the darkness, and hardships help us appreciate joy.

Even pain and tests will serve their purpose, that is, to strengthen our faith and prepare us for bigger things ahead.  That’s why Bro encourages us all to continue to hold on and live for others.

Bro said many times that two is better than one. He loves seeing His children working together to fulfil His will, which is why He loves reminding Mira and Joy to always stick with each other.

As God’s stewards, Mira and Joy are often plagued with problems in dealing with non-believers. People drown in questions and feel frustrated when they receive no answers. But, take heart, for Bro Himself promised that soon we’ll understand the reasons behind everything. Kailangan n’yo lamang magtiwala.”

And in times of despair, love is always the answer. God’s words tell us that it’s better to acknowledge one’s emotions that let negative feelings consume the heart.

Bro also taught us that there’s freedom in forgiveness. And in order to forgive, one needs to listen.

Bro looks at the heart and not the physical appearance, telling us not to judge others.

Losing a loved one fills the heart with grief, which makes us question our faith. But Bro teaches us that death doesn’t erase the legacy and memories a person left, and good deeds are like seeds that grow into hope and inspiration. When Caloy (Soliman Cruz) died, Bro told Mira and Joy that He’s pleased with how the old man lived to serve others.

In the darkest and toughest of times, Bro stays close to us. We will never be alone and abandoned because the truth is, He will carry us through our sufferings.
