We all know her as a great entertainer, whose golden and soulful voice is heard on ASAP Natin ‘To and in some of the local films and teleseryes we all loved, including her current dramatic portrayal of Darling on the inspirational drama Huwag Kang Mangamba.
But Angeline Quinto was more than a prolific performer, she has always been a doting and selfless daughter to her late Mama Bob, her father's aunt who stood as her surrogate mom since she was born.
Mama Bob passed away in November last year, months after she was first rushed to the hospital due to a stroke. Angeline made heartbreaking posts that showed the deepest love she always had for her dearest Mama.
"Hinding hindi ako mapapagod sa pagpapasamalat sayo Ma, dahil sa pagkakataong ibinigay mo sa akin para maging anak mo," Angeline said in a post.
She added in a separate post with a pic of her embracing her Mama Bob as she succumbed, “Mag-iingat ka sa pag lalakbay Mama. Hindi man kita maalalayan sa paglalakad ngayon patungo sa paraiso, masaya ako nandyan ang Panginoon para umalalay sa'yo... Hanggang sa muli nating pagkikita MAHAL NA MAHAL KONG MAMA BOB,"
Being her guardian for 28 years, the well-known singer always took care of her Mama Bob and made sure she was doing fine every time she an out-of-town or foreign gig. She also took her on vacation trips whenever her hectic schedule permitted.
Angeline will always love and remember her Mama Bob for all the love and sacrifices she has made for her. She will definitely remain in her heart and mind and continue to be her inspiration to hit the high notes of life.
