Francine Diaz’s endearing, outstanding teleserye portrayals through the years

Aside from her pretty face and admirable personality, Francine Diaz is also absolutely adored for her impeccable acting prowess that she’s able to already exhibit at a young age. And from taking on a slew of lovable roles in the previous years, she is about to astound us as an antagonist in the forthcoming primetime series Huwag Kang Mangamba.

But before we get to meet her newest character Joy, let’s take a look back first on some of her remarkable acting journey through this Kapamilya Spotlight feature!

The 17-year-old actress started out by playing as younger counterparts of lead female characters in several teleseryes. She had her debut in 2015 through her portrayal of young Sari (Ellen Adarna) in the afternoon soap opera Pasion de Amor.

In 2016, she clinched the role of young Pinang (Erich Gonzalez) in the daytime drama Be My Lady and the supporting character Anya in the comedy-drama series We Will Survive.

The following year, she served as the young Bianca (Kim Chiu) in the daytime sports-drama series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin and had her first-ever appearance in the weekly drama anthology Ipaglaban Mo through its “Lihim” episode.

After impressing us with her dramatic chops as Ginny in primetime teleserye The Blood Sisters, Francine went on to score her biggest break to date when she was cast in the highly successful afternoon drama Kadenang Ginto, through which she immensely got popular as Cassie Mondragon. Her unmistakable chemistry with her onscreen partner Kyle Echarri gave birth to the KyCine tandem, and together with their co-stars Seth Fedelin and Andrea Brillantes, they comprise the elite teen group “The Gold Squad”.

And while she was doing Kadenang Ginto, she was also able to work on the 2019 action-drama series The General’s Daughter, portraying the preteen Rhian Bonifacio (Angel Locsin).

We may have been in the midst of a pandemic, but there’s definitely no stopping her as she was tapped to play the young Kim Chiu in an episode of the documentary program Paano Kita Mapapasalamatan? and be part of the iWant Original series “Bawal Lumabas: The Series” as the antagonist Jade, the bratty yet kind-heartedyounger sister of Chinita Princess’ character Emerald.

Are you excited as us to see Francine in a different light? Well, you better not miss her as the rebellious Joy Cordero in Huwag Kang Mangamba, beginning on March 22, weeknights on Kapamilya ChannelKapamilya Online Live, and A2Z!
