The approximate distance between Germany and Philippines is 10,311 kilometers. But in spite of it, the universe was still able to connect two complete strangers and turned them into one of the strongest on-screen and off-screen pairs we’ve ever known, and perhaps, even shipped.
It has been three years since the admirable phenomenal loveteam of Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber began when they both joined Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 as teen housemates. While inside the house, viewers were quick to spot the unmistakable chemistry between them just on their very first encounter, thus, the “MayWard” tandem was born which has now amassed thousands of supporters from different parts of the globe.
Both of them finished their stint on the reality show triumphantly – with the “Cheerful Charmer of Germany” being hailed as the 4th Big Placer while the “Miss Wacky-Go-Lucky of Cagayan de Oro” being declared as the season’s Big Winner.
As they went back to the outside world, the public continued to pour out their love and support for them, which opened a lot of opportunities for them as a pair.
A lot of loveteams have come and gone through the years, but what could be the secret behind the success of MayWard?
Well, as we follow them on-and-off-cam, we could see how tightly bonded they are. They are spotted together most of the time not only because of work, but they also turned out to be each other’s best friend. They’re always there to support one another in everything they do – from their individual projects up to the issues and snide remarks being hurled at them – and never fail to thrill us with their presence together whenever and wherever.
Besides, they have also already gotten each other’s quirks and interests and have never been shy to show their genuine selves to one another, which make them a perfect match indeed!
