There’s definitely no doubt that Elijah Canlas is one of the most talented thespians of his generation. And one of his ways of proving that is through his commendable portrayal of his kontrabida character, Archie Aguerro, who we love to hate in the hit series Senior High and its ongoing sequel, High Street. 

While his performance is truly admirable, we couldn’t help but still abhor Archie, which Elijah absolutely understands as there are also things that he hates about him, and he earnestly shared three in this ent.abs-cbn.com exclusives video!

First and foremost is Archie’s being basagulero or brawler, regardless if he was the one who initiated it or he only got involved. We’d witnessed it a number of times in Senior High and, just like us, he would like to find out whether he’s still the same or not in High Street. But knowing Archie, he doubts that he didn’t get into a fight while in detention.

Another thing that he dislikes about Archie is his addiction problem when it comes to illegal substances despite already going through a lot of problems in Senior High. He remarked, “At the same time, we have to understand where he’s coming from kasi sobrang dami niya nang pinagdaanan.” It may be something that he despises about Archie, but he firmly believes that it can also be something that he can redeem in the future.

And lastly, Elijah hates it that Archie apparently didn’t keep his promise to his “baby Mama,” Roxy (Xyriel Manabat) after learning from her that she’s pregnant with their child on their graduation day. The way he played it might be genuine and really sincere, but it also confuses him why he’s inside the jail and refused to reconnect with Roxy and their son Riley (Argus Aspiras) and let them know what’s happening to him.

“Malaking kasalanan ‘yon, Archie. I don’t know how you’ll redeem yourself from this, but that’s something that I really hate about you,” he conveyed.
