Born to a Filipina mother and Japanese father, Kaori Oinuma started her career by joining Pinoy Big Brother Otso as one of the first batch of teen housemates. On the other hand, Turs Daza came from an influential celebrity clan and became popular when he became a MYX VJ in 2017. They may have different backgrounds and come from different walks of life, but the universe had its wonderful way of intertwining their paths – He’s Into Her.

Their team-up as Michiko Tarranza and Dale Enrile may have been making us kilig now, but it took Kaori and Turs some time to build their chemistry since it’s their first time working opposite one another in Season 2 – as what they imparted in their recent guesting in Kapamilya Chat. Although he was already a part of the Season 1 but only taped for a few days, Kaori couldn’t remember seeing nor meeting him then.

Thus, in order to help them get to know each other better and build their rapport, their director Chad Vidanes seemingly set them up through a video call meeting before their lock-in taping for He’s Into Her Season 2 started. That may have caused Kaori to panic, but they eventually jived as their conversation went on.

On their first scene together, the intimidation she firast felt towards him suddenly vanished and was replaced with ease as they get comfortable with each other. She also never thought that he’s way older than her and the rest of the cast since Turs is already 28 years now and most of them are just in their early 20s, because he’s able to get along really well with everyone.

Meanwhile, Turs initially perceived Kaori as mature for her age, very demure, kind, and quiet, which he actually admires for he’s not into loquacious people. For him, it really helped that they’re able to talk a lot and build a rapport before and during their lock-in taping as it allowed them to deepen their friendship.

When asked who between them broke the ice on their first taping day, Turs admitted that it was him since Kaori was really shy that time. According to him, he did it by asking her to run lines with him as they’re about to shoot that certain scene that day. They also had the chance to talk a bit about life and HIH Season 1, in which Turs’ existence Kaori really could not remember.
