Ace wishes to start anew with Jade (Yam Concepcion) and have his own child with her. So, he orders Helen (Almira Muhlach) to take Baby CJ away and leave. Jade goes mad as she tries to chase her son but Ace stops her and starts hurting her.
Ace forces Jade to hop in his car and they drive away. Jade exhibits signs of frustrations as she tries to take the steering wheel from Ace’s hands. Her motherly instinct almost eats up her sanity as she fights for her son but Ace insists his own selfish plans.
They continue fighting inside the car until Jade had the guts to shoot Ace using his own gun. Ace had no other choice but to get out of the car and beg for his life. Still pointing the gun at Ace, Jade declares the end of his wickedness as she recalls all the evil acts he has done to her. Jade is disgusted and appalled as she looks back on how Ace molested her and ruined her life; and Ace’s decision to involve Baby CJ in his schemes is the final straw to Ace’s malevolence.
“Wala kang karapatan maging ama! Wala kang karapatan maging lalaki!” Jade screams before shooting Ace in the groin. As Ace lies on the ground, Jade starts feeling frail as well. She stares on the traces of blood that came out her mouth as she coughed. Jade fainted and the cops soon arrived.
Jade wakes up in a hospital with Lino by her side. She requests to see and hold Baby CJ but Lino says the child couldn’t get near her. Lino carefully discloses Jade the truth about her sickness – pulmonary tuberculosis.
Despite Jade’s unwise decisions and selfishness, Lino is still moved with pity towards Jade. Marissa (Nina Dolino) opens the door to Jade’s room but backs off upon seeing Lino holding Jade’s hand as they share an intimate conversation. Lino touches Jade’s hair in a manner full of sympathy.
