“Ang Halik mo, mami-miss ko”, says the line in a classic jukebox hit that gave more life to the dramatic scenes in Halik. True to these words, the cast of the said phenomenal series has a long list of things they are going to miss as the teleserye took its final bow last night, April 26.
But instead of just whining and sulking over their good bye, Team Halik celebrated their victorious exit in a live viewing party. The cast bonded over meals and drinks as they watch the finale episode all together along the crew and program bosses.

Just like the typical audience, some of the actors tear up over the heart-rending scenes. Christian Bables and Daisy Carino were caught getting emotional as they witness the final moments of the characters that brought colors to Halik.
It turns out that Christian’s response was rooted from his personal attachment not just with the characters but his co-stars as well. The actor took in the feelings of nostalgia and melancholy as he parted ways with the second family he met through the show.
Other cast members like Hero Angeles, Gab Lagman and JC Alcantara said they are going to bring good memories with them, especially the pieces of advice they garnered from the veterans and seasoned actors in the series.
As Halik departs from the small screen, Yam Concepcion’s heart is filled with both sadness and gratitude. She even thanked those who hated her for her portrayal of Jade’s fictional life. She would certainly miss her leading man, Jericho Rosales; saying the last frame she shared with Jericho was comprised of true emotions. The on-screen tears came from her personal ‘hugot’ of missing Jericho for real.
Overall, the finale episode of Halik was loaded with remorse, lessons and second chances. Yam, who was showered with both praises and hate through her role, has learned the value of acknowledging one’s mistakes as seen in Jade’s life.
As Halik bids farewell, the phenomenal series displayed all facets of love. There was Barry (Christian Bables) and Ken’s (Hero Angeles) rainbow-colored relationship; proving that love knows no gender. Lino (Jericho Rosales) and Jacky’s (Yen Santos) tale showed that true and selfless love will not be shattered even by the shrewdest winds. Despite being condemned by the world due to her sins, Jade (Yam Concepcion)’s own kind of happy ending denoted the power of a motherly love. But no matter where it comes from, all kinds of love begin and end in one kiss.
