Kapamilya stars Sam Milby and Yam Concepcion became hot topics when they portrayed cheating spouses Ace and Jade, respectively, in the hit series Halik in 2018. The first comment for Yam is full of ‘gigil.’ It reads: “Pinagtagpo kasi si Lino at Jackie, mas bagay, parehas sila mabait at hindi nagloloko sa mga asawa nila. Si Jade and Ace naman, sila talaga ‘yung mga sinungaling at manloloko.”
Not that she’s trying to justify her character’s misdeeds but Yam thinks a person in love can be irrational at times, “Alam niyo, minsan ‘pag in-love ka, tanga ka. Kahit gaano ka pa katalino, minsan ‘pag na-in love ka, ‘pag tinamaan ka, wala din!”
One netizen thinks the ambitious Jade should’ve married a millionaire than the humble Lino (Jericho Rosales) then went on to praise the show’s dynamics. It says: “Sana naghanap na lang o nagpakasal na lang sa milyonaryo si Jade nang lahat ng hinahanap niya kay Lino makuha niya. But I love the story, mabilis hindi paligoy-ligoy.”
Playing along with the comment, Yam replied, “Oo nga, eh! Nagkamali siya du’n, eh! Tama ka nga, dapat nagpakasal na lang ako sa isang milyonaryo.” But, that would be easier said than done because love strikes faster than lightning and is more complicated than it seems.
Yam continued, “Kaso nga, minsan hindi mo naman ine-expect kapag tinamaan ka ng pag-ibig, eh. Na-in love naman talaga siya kay Lino in the beginning.” She also thanked the netizen for the good words about the plot, giving credit to their writers.
It’s Sam’s turn! He was told that his role is a reflection of hypocrisy, acting jealous when he’s the one guilty. The tweet: “Dito mo makikita ‘yung taong seloso, sila ‘yung gumagawa ng kalokohan tulad ni Sam. Kunwari nagseselos pero siya naman ang playboy. Si Jackie at Jericho ang idol ko dito na loveteam.”
Sam would agree, “Minsan, kung sino pa ‘yung gumagawa ng masama, siya pa ‘yung nagagalit at nagseselos dahil pinagtatakpan ‘yung masamang ginagawa.”
Someone boldly said it: “Sa tingin ko babaero si Sam.” Amused, the actor showed off his killer smile and replied that he isn’t his onscreen counterpart.
The next comments were quite an analysis of Ace’s motive for seducing Jade, saying he’s simply using the woman to get even with Lino. Sam explained that Ace’s action started as just an act of vengeance because of his wife Jackie’s past with Lino until Ace fell truly in love with his paramour.
