Six years after its top-rating finale dubbed “Best Ending Ever”, the romantic-comedy drama we all loved made its delightful comeback on television three weeks ago – Got To Believe.
Marking the third on-screen team-up of reel-to-real sweethearts Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, the series indeed thrilled us with then-teen stars’ unmistakable chemistry as they impeccably portrayed the vivacious and affectionate ChichayTampipi and the cloistered and deadpan Joaquin Manansala, respectively, and with how their characters’ hostile relationship prospered into something romantic.
But since we’re still in the early parts of the story, let’s reminisce first their cute quarrels that really made us giggle and kilig via this Kapamilya Toplist.
As we all know, Chichay and Joaquin’s paths first crossed when they were still kids as the latter snuck into the amusement fair owned by the latter’s family. They might have a little argument on their first encounter, but the two eventually became friends. Unfortunately, their friendship abruptly ended as Joaquin had a fatal accident that would permanently affect his life while Chichay and her family moved to the province to start a brand new life.
Little did they know that they would bumped into each other, literally, ten years later, as Chichay unintentionally ran into Joaquin, who just arrived and dropped by the carnival, that made him fall to the ground and be almost hit by metal rods on the head. He angrily called her out for putting his life in danger, to which she replied by doing the iconic “sorry po” curtsy.
However, that wasn’t the last time that they’re going to see each other as his mom hired Chichay to be his nanny. Since Joaquin is still yearning for his beloved Yaya Puring to come back after getting fired, he executed various shenanigans in order to upset and force them to resign, in which he was successful, but not to Chichay who caught him red-handed and has been incrediblypatient with his mischiefs ever since her first day.
He constantly pranked her and attempted to annoy her in his pursuit of kicking her out or making her surrender to no avail, as she chose to just play along with him because of her dire need of a decent-paying job. He assumed that he’s going to succeed in upsetting her by throwing snide remarks against her parents, but he failed as she was able to compose herself and calmly told him never to deride her parents.
Regardless of how they’re treating each other right now, we all know that they’re going to be beyond fine in the end, right?
Reminisce the wonderful love story of Chichay and Joaquin by not missing an episode of Got To Believe, weekdays on Kapamilya Gold.
