His character Joaquin Manansala in Got To Believe may be someone who needs much care and attention because of his health condition, but this is not the same with how heartthrob actor Daniel Padilla is in real life.

 

In his latest guesting in Magandang Buhay last June, we’re able to find out how a protective and caring big brother he actually is to his beloved younger siblings JC, Magui, and Carmella.

 

Unlike other celebrity kids who are able to do the things that they want freely and acquire everything they need easily, Daniel had to immediately mature as his momshie entrusted to him the responsibility of taking good care of his younger siblings since he’s the firstborn. But he was fine with that as his Mama still allows him to play.

 

As what he always says in his interviews, entering showbiz was something that Daniel was not keen on doing because of his introverted personality. But because of his love for his family and his dream for them to have a better life, he chose to compromise.

While others would probably whine about having overprotective brother who would keep an eye on the clothes that you wear or how you behave, this is actually just fine for Magui and Carmella. On their appearance on Magandang Buhay via Zoom, both of them expressed their appreciation for everything that they’re beloved Kuya DJ does for them.

 

“Kuya, gusto kong mag-‘thank you’ sa lahat ng bagay na ginagawa mo para sa amin. Sobrang naa-appreciate namin ‘yon. ‘Di man namin napapakita sa’yo pero sobrang thankful namin sa’yo dahil may tumatayong Kuya sa’min na susuportahan kami and proprotektahan kami…Love you, Kuya,” Carmella said.

Magui also conveyed how much she adores and commend their Kuya DJ, saying, “I just wanna say na continue being the Kuya that you are – na kung paano ka sa amin, kung paano ka sa mga tao rito sa bahay kasi ‘di ka lang kuya sa’min, kuya ka na rin nina Analain and anyone else. We are always grateful and alam mo ‘yan kasi lagi kitang tinetext na ‘thank you’ and ‘I love you’ kahit na ‘di ka nagre-reply.”
