There’s indeed no doubt that in its 14 years of being the longest-running kiddie gag show, Goin’ Bulilit had not only been a purveyor of good vibes and laughter through the hilarious jokes and relatable skits they offered, but had also been a serious training ground for aspiring young actors.
It didn’t only expose the impressive skills in acting, dancing, and singing of each cast member, but improved them at the same time as well. And the program succeeded in its pursuit as some of its alumni became among the biggest stars in the country at present, such as Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montes, Jane Oineza, Sharlene San Pedro, Nash Aguas, Kristel Fulgar, and Miles Ocampo.
However, not all of them chose to keep on treading on the showbiz path after they graduated for some of them opted to stay away from the spotlight and pursue other careers, such as the nine former cast members featured in this Kapamilya Toplist.
Although we haven’t heard from them for a long time now as they kept their lives low-key, we’re still able to find out a few things about them after doing a little stalking on their respective social media accounts.
Apparently, most of them have already graduated in college. Yong-an Chiu obtained his degree in Electrical Engineering from University Sto. Tomas, while Aaron Junatas now works in an IT company after finishing his education in Bulacan State University. Steven Fermo also chose to focus on his studies upon his departure from Goin’ Buliliit and pursued a bachelor’s degree at De La Salle University.
From being an endorser of a well-known clothing line in his childhood, Basty Alcances currently owns one that he calls “CLOUT.”
On the other hand, three of them are apparently have found it hard leaving the entertainment scene as they pursue careers that are closely related to it.
Alfred Labatos now works at MOR 101.9 and as a voice actor in the Tagalog-dubbed version of the Korean hit series The World Of A Married Couple that is being broadcast on the Kapamilya Channel and iWant. Joshua Tecson is part of the band “No Name Tag”, while Nikki Bagaporo, who’s now a certified recording artist, has been delighting her followers with her song covers and compositions that she uploads on her Instagram and YouTube channel and performs in bars and various events.
Meanwhile, Angel Sy and Kobi Vidanes are still finishing their college degrees in DLSU and Ateneo De Manila University, respectively.
They may have decided to take on different paths now that they’re all grown-ups, but the Goin’ Bulilit alumni have never failed to make us proud with their achievements in their chosen lives.
