Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montes, Jane Oineza, Miles Ocampo, and Sharlene San Pedro are just some who began their laudable journey in the showbiz industry through the said show. Indeed, most of the Goin’ Bulilit graduates became today’s celebrated artists.
But despite the endless big opportunities that await the well-trained ‘bulilits’, there are still some who chose take on a different career path. Where they are now?
Alfred Alain Labatos and EJ Jallorina who both belonged to the very first batch of Goin’ Bulilit graduates still work in the entertainment industry. However, they chose to focus on different fields.
After starring on different TV shows until 2014, Alfred became a voice actor in MOR 101.9 and dubbed for characters in various animated series. Meanwhile, EJ is still taking on acting roles. However, he portrays supporting characters as he currently takes up Visual Communication at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
Like Alfred and EJ, the one and only second batch graduate Carl John Barrameda is still in the entertainment industry too. He appeared on various television shows until 2015, then shifted from being an actor to being a director. He is presently part of the It’s Showtime production staff.
Third batch graduate Maria Eliza Pineda continued to shine as an actress. Apart from that, she is a brand endorser, a model and a budding singer.
Multi-awarded child actor John Manalo who belonged to Goin’ Bulilit’s fourth batch of graduates also continued to act until 2017. He is an “aspiring filmmaker” says his Instagram account. He graduated in May last year and finished his Communication Arts degree from the University of Santo Tomas.
After graduating as a ‘bulilit’ in 2008, Mikylla Ramirez chose to concentrate on her studies. In 2012, she began to establish her own channel as a content creator in YouTube. She recently appeared on the primetime fantaseryes La Luna Sangre in 2017 and Bagani in 2018.
Afet ending her ‘bulilit’ journey, Nikki Bagaporo starred in a 2009 Pinoy indie film “Tatang.” Like Mikylla, and focused on her studies for a while. In 2017, she also became a YouTube content creator by launching her own channel. She started fulfilling her dream as an aspiring singer-songwriter by becoming a recording artist last year.
While staying focused on their studies, batch 7 graduates Aaliyah Benisano and Tatiana Noemi Oineza managed to maintain a career in the showbiz industry as years passed. Just recently, Filipina-Polish Aaliyah captivated everyone with her stunning photos online. Aaliyah now poses for magazines, slays the runway and endorses various brands as a model. On the other hand, Noemi continued to appear on shows like Ipaglaban Mo and Maalaala Mo Kaya.
Finally, Joseph Andre Garcia, who exited Goin’ Bulilit as one of the batch 8 graduates, continued to take minor roles on different television shows. He recently appeared on Ipaglaban Mo, Maalaala Mo Kaya and on different television programs. His batch mate, Angel Toni Sy who also graduated as a ‘bulilit’ in 2013, lived a private life far from the spotlight. She currently enjoys travelling, surfing and dancing on the G-Force studio based on her Instagram account.
Even though we don’t usually see those mentioned graduates on-screen, it is clear how they constantly flourish on their chosen lives right now. Their respective accomplishments just prove to us that Goin’ Bulilit has indeed equipped its young artists to become champions in life.
