Before their funny banters on It’s Showtime, Vice Ganda and Kim Chiu showed us a teaser of how hilarious they could get as a tandem during the latter’s guesting on Gandang Gabi Vice in 2011. Kim was Vice Ganda’s first visitor on his late-night comedy talk show!
In the episode, the comedian was like all of us – gushing about Kim’s slender waist! He took out a tape measure from his pocket to actually reveal the actress’ waistline, which she said was 26 inches. It may look slimmer than that but Kim was telling the truth. Her sexy curves measures 26 inches.
Asked how she maintains her hourglass figure, Kim said she doesn’t follow a diet program. She eats what she craves and her favorite is siomai. She can munch down 50 pieces of siomai a day – 25 in the morning and the other half at night. Vice Ganda then started calling her ‘Kim Sio’ instead of ‘Chiu.’
The ‘bukingan’ wouldn’t be complete without touching on Kim’s colorful lovelife. Vice Ganda gave examples of crazy things people can do for love and Kim gauged which ones are worth trying.
The first scenario was whispering to a dead man’s ear. According to Pinoy superstition, one can whisper her desires to a dead man’s ear to make them happen. Kim said she won’t do that because the right man will come and she only needs to be patient in waiting. The Unkabogable Star agreed, “Tama ‘yun, hindi mo kailangan bumulong sa patay. Mas maganda ‘yung normal na lumapit sa’yo yung lalaki, ligawan ka.”
An allusion to her iconic lines from the film “Paano Na Kaya” with former love team partner and ex-beau Gerald Anderson, Kim was asked if she can possibly fall in love with a best friend. The Chinita Princess believes there’s nothing wrong with best friends turning into lovers. The friendship will even be an advantage, “Mas sweet ‘yun! Kasi siyempre mas matagal na kayong magkasama tapos magiging jowa mo.”
The phrase “’Pag lumingon ka, akin ka,” was popular at that time. Vice Ganda dared Kim to name the guy she would like to tell those words to. Kim answered, “Secret! Kasi baka hindi na siya lumingon sa akin.” That would be impossible because Kim is a bonafide head turner!
Kim tried the ‘banat’ on Vice Ganda, who turned around to scare his guest.
