Popsters united in frenzy when Sarah Geronimo did her first guesting for Gandang Gabi Vice. And by Popsters, we mean including the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda. Re-watch the fun in this throwback video.
Sarah’s guesting was one of the most anticipated episodes of GGV, proving that she and Vice hit it off. Vice welcomed his guest by commenting about Sarah’s glowing aura. He said Sarah looked every inch happy. Indeed, she was. “Happy kasi meron akong bagong show at ang dami pong nagmamahal, mga supporters at family,” she said.
Vice and Sarah first worked together via comedy-drama film “Hating Kapatid” which Sarah topbilled with Judy Ann Santos. And by then, Vice was already mesmerized by the singer-actress’ sweet personality. He said Judy Ann was keeping up with the loud hilarity while Sarah would simply watch them and laugh.
Vice further noticed that Sarah has grown more mature in her craft and more gorgeous as a woman. But the question is she really ‘mahinhin’ in real life? Sarah admitted to acting a bit boyish, thus she’s not as demure as one would expect. “Maharot din po ako ‘pag natutuwa,” she smiled.
Vice quipped that Sarah transforms when performing. He called it ‘sapi.’ He said the music icon looks so sweet and fragile off the stage but a real ‘monster’ on stage. “Bakit ka bakulaw ‘pag nagpe-perform?” he asked her.
Sarah had an answer, saying performing feels so liberating. “Siguro natatanggal lahat ng inhibitions ko. When I’m on stage parang I’m free. Iba ‘yung feeling ko ‘pag nasa stage.”
